What has 21 years taught me?

It was 11th grade and I was sitting somewhere around the middle row when the chalk hit me. Followed by an ear grab and rotate. You know the favourite technique of school teachers. Some say it's hitting on hand with a ruler but I believe this one gives them the most joy. What was my crime? I was finding out how fast the ball attached to this thin thread had to be spun to break the thread in a ‘MATHS CLASS’. That is solving physics in maths class. Now see, I used to be a very hot headed guy, and if something provoked me it usually results in something I’m not very proud of. I slammed my hands on the bench, drawing the whole class’s attention. I said “wtf sir!!, is this a way to treat students!”, simultaneously pushing the bench away which scared the guy to back off. His behaviour suddenly changed and he said “it’s ok relax, next time focus in class” and asked me to sit down and went about teaching. Didn’t make eye contact with me again in the class.
Yeah, I was not happy about how I behaved either. I regret it.

Another similar situation, was in college first year. I had some argument with this guy and the next thing I know he grabbed my specs(which is the thing you should avoid if you wanna fight me to death… jk). I don’t remember the whole situation but I remember us hitting each other after that and some family-focused “rainbow words”.
Yeah, I’m not proud of this either.

These are 2 moments of my life where I went hyper, but there’s a lot more. These taught me one thing “VIOLENCE IS NEVER THE WAY”. There’s always a gentler and calmer way out. And if someone’s being a big jerk, and no conversation is working then ignore them. Just a ok, fine, cool, np, is more than good enough. Things usually come around. Plus very few people are actually jerks, give em time. It might just happen that you are the villain of the story which in many cases I was. Waiting it out makes you reflect on those situations and if you were a jerk, you will realise it.
21 years taught me a lot of other things too but I don't wanna make this long read. Staysafe!
