A few week back I bought The All New Generation Kindle. I’m not a reader , infact I’ve never completed any book in my entire 20 years on this planet. This was the first book I read from 0–100 (completely). And there’s a reason for that. If you are in college or have just started working , I think this is the best book you begin with.

Before I explain why should you read it, I’ll tell you why I read it. It started with the rat race of Joint Entrance Exam(JEE). My Elder cousin brothers had made it to IIT and I was next in line. Not knowing what to do with life, having good marks in science, everyone suggested to go for ENGG. I made it my life’s goal to get into IIT.Naive as a fish, I went into the net of Coaching Center. After 2 years of mental, emotional and spiritual struggle I made it to Govt ENGG college. Not to IIT but I will say I’m pretty satisfied where I am. But now what?

NOW F**KING WHAT!!!?
I had achieved my life’s goal. I didn’t knew what else to do. I never planned to get a job, good grades, achieve something, startup, get girlfriend etc etc. Welcome to Mid-life crisis. All the things I did in college, I never wanted to do any of it. I didn’t wanted to go to class, get good grades , do projects , prepare for job but I did it anyways cause everyone was doing it ( plusI had nothing else to do plus f**king peer pressure).
This is the reason I read the book cause I didn’t wanted to give a f**k to these things. I wanted to be independent of these thoughts. To be always pressured to get good GPA even though I had no f**king idea why I cared. To live with the tension to do good projects to make a beautiful Resume for Jobs, even though I didn’t even wanted to get a job and many more such bla bla bla.

So instead of ranting about me I’ll just mention the reasons why you should read the book and how may it help you?

  1. Always living with the tension to be the best at everything? Comparing yourself with everyone you see? Trying to be at the excel at all the aspects of human life and this feeling is eating you up from inside?
    THEN READ THE BOOK
  2. Always trying to be happy and positive but end up being more f**ked up? Trying to gain Mental High using short term entertainment but end up feeling more depressed?
    THEN READ THE BOOK
  3. Not able to commit yourself to your goal? Not able to concentrate on your goal? Is it too tough for you? Start with full motivation but end up watching movie or playing games all night?
    THEN READ THE BOOK
  4. Don’t know what you want in life?
    THEN READ THE BOOK
  5. Not able to start something cause you feel you may fail or even worse end up being a mediocre? holding on to you f**ked up ideals and values which are making you feel miserable at each and every point of you life but don’t want to give it up cause you feel it’ll change you, change the views of those around you? They might see you differently?
    THEN READ THE BOOK
  6. Fed up with the problems in life and want to just escape it all? Go to a hill or village and live there? Do farming and or shit like that and live a peaceful life just to escape the current life problems?
    THEN READ THE BOOK

See I can go on and on and on but you get the point, just read the book if you feel like some part of your life is f**ked up and you need to make it better. Mark Manson the author, has explained each and every lesson with many examples such that even a dimwit like me understood them xd. Do give it a try.
